Update: Views from the North - March 12, 2020

Gideon's Army will soon launch a long term disaster recovery program for the North Nashville community. The Rebuild North Nashville Program will use the restorative justice model to provide individuals and families with financial assistance, support services, and comprehensive case management. Residents of North Nashville who have been impacted by the tornado and would like to apply for assistance should submit a needs assessment form which can be found here. We are no longer accepting donated goods of any kind until further notice. We were overwhelmed by the show of support and collected over 25,000 goods in the past 9 days. Nashville, we thank you. If you are still in need of goods, we will deliver them to you. Please complete an immediate needs assessment form here.

We have created a funding campaign specifically for long term disaster recovery in North Nashville - didn't get a chance to volunteer or donate yet? Now is your chance: donorbox.org/rebuildnorthnashville.

In the midst of aftermath of the tornado, Nashville really hasn't had time to dwell on the novel corona virus. However, that is not to say this is not something we shouldn't take seriously. The health and safety of our community is always at the forefront of our priorities. For more information on the current status of the virus in Nashville and how to prepare and protect your family - visit: https://www.nashville.gov/Health-Department/Coronavirus.aspx.

Lastly, we will soon be sending out our first "Views from the North" Gideon's Army Newsletter. Be sure to subscribe. If you are interested in volunteer opportunities please click the volunteer link above and sign up! We will be holding new volunteer orientation and training in the spring.

Until the next update! Take care of yourselves and each other.
